Human Intelligence for AI. A six-week practice for the human side of your rollout.
Your company committed to AI. The tools landed. Adoption is patchy, the work-quality signal is mixed, and the human side of the rollout is the part nobody owns. We help the people who actually own it — Chiefs of Staff, transformation leads, founders — close the gap between AI adoption and AI value.
Vision, mission, and what this Lab gives you
Keep humans at the helm
As tech accelerates progress, Shiftspace keeps humans at the helm.
Direct AI, don't be directed by it
Equip your team to direct AI rather than be directed by it.
Agency for dealing with agents

What we hear in the first call
- “We're spending €2M a year on AI tools and our adoption surveys are flat.”
- “The CEO committed to AI in the all-hands and I am now the one who has to make it real.”
- “Our teams are using the AI tools but not changing how they work — we are getting cost without the upside.”
- “L&D is doing AI training and it is not landing. Our people are stressed, not enabled.”
- “I can see the human side is the blocker. It is not my budget.”
A 2025 MIT NANDA study found that 95% of enterprise GenAI pilots fail to deliver measurable P&L impact — and attributes the failure to organisational adoption, not model capability. The EY Work Reimagined survey puts the same gap in workforce language: 88% of leaders believe AI is essential; 28% of their employees feel ready to use it.
If the gap between adoption and value is your problem, this is the right page.
AI is being sold as wanting to use humans as tools. We teach people to use AI as theirs.
A practice, not a course
A six-week, cohort-based practice for teams whose company has bought the AI tools and is now trying to make them land. Runs inside your team's Slack (Teams supported). Eight to thirty participants — a department, a leadership group, or a cross-functional set anchored on a specific AI-rollout question.
Built around three two-week modules (from a catalogue of four — see below). The buyer picks the three that fit their team's actual pain. The Lab is opinionated about how — workshops, in-channel practice, reflection — and flexible about what.
Not an AI tool. Not an AI-literacy course. Not a prompt-engineering bootcamp. This is the developmental work that sits on top of any of those. Your people already have the tools. We help them build the human capabilities the tools assume.
Four candidate modules. You pick three.
The Lab is six weeks structured as three two-week modules. Each module follows the same internal cadence: a 60-minute opening workshop, daily light in-channel content, two structured reflection points, and a closing workshop that hands off into the next module.
Critical thinking under AI saturation
The judgement work. When the model produces a plausible answer, how does your team decide whether to trust it, interrogate it, or override it? Holding complexity, evaluating “good enough,” knowing when not to take the model's first answer. Backed by the Microsoft / CMU 2025 finding that critical thinking decays with AI use unless practised deliberately.
Sample cadence inside a module
- Monday — opening prompt. A question your team works on in the channel, in their own time.
- Tue–Thu — in-channel content. A short reflection or exercise each morning; light enough to ignore on a bad day, structured enough to compound across the week.
- Wednesday — live workshop. 60 minutes. The cohort works the module's material together.
- Friday — structured reflection. A short close to the week, captured in the channel.
We design the cohort's specific module selection together with you in a 30-minute working session before the Lab starts. There is no extra cost for that session. Workshops are co-led by Philipp and Kirill for the first cohort at each new client. After that, Maischa or a coach we have trained leads.
Built for the layer closest to the technology
- Chiefs of Staff owning the practical reality of the CEO's AI commitment, with a budget mandate behind it. The persona where this Lab lands most cleanly.
- Chief Transformation Officers / Chief AI Officers / CIOs running the AI rollout and looking for the human-side complement to the technical implementation.
- COOs at 150–1,000 operators in non-software industries — travel, fintech, energy, logistics, healthcare — where AI is reshaping work the team did not previously have to defend.
- Founders of AI-heavy product orgs (sub-150) who want their team to be making the four shifts before the org is too big to move them collectively.
- AI-rollout leads and Cloud-implementation owners who recognise the human-side gap and want to bring in a practice the executive sponsor will fund.
This Lab is built for the layer of the organisation that is closest to the technology and furthest from L&D. Most of our HI for AI Lab buyers do not have a People-leader title.
Where the fit is different
- Companies still in AI-pilot phase, with no broad rollout yet. There is nothing to bridge yet.
- Companies looking for hard-skill AI training. Prompt engineering, model selection, agent-builder workshops — the market is full of those, and they are not us.
- Pure-software companies whose product is itself AI infrastructure. You are in front of the curve; the fit of this Lab for your teams is different than for an operator in a traditional sector. We are happy to talk; the shape is just not the same.
- Buyers looking for a single workshop or keynote. The Lab is six weeks of practice and is not designed to be compressed.
Pricing, in the open
The Lab is priced toward the buyer who is comparing it not to an L&D programme but to the cost of another six months of failed AI adoption. This is the most expensive of our three Labs because it carries the most preparatory work and the most senior coach time.
30-person cohort, six weeks, three modules picked from the four candidates. Workshops, in-channel content, reflection prompts, coach access, and a closing read-out with the executive sponsor.
Eight weeks, all four modules. For teams that want the complete arc instead of selecting three.
Cohorts of 50+. For broader leadership groups or cross-departmental rollouts.
Three-to-five months, HI for AI Lab combined with one of the other Labs. For organisations carrying the work across multiple layers.
What's included: everything above plus the 30-minute cohort-design session, weekly cohort metrics for the executive sponsor, and an end-of-Lab read-out scheduled before the Lab begins. What's not: travel for in-person workshops if you want them. The Companion subscription after the Lab is priced separately.
The five lines under everything we do
- Adoption is not value. We help close the gap.
- Acknowledge fear; do not sell it.
- Human capabilities are the binding constraint on AI value, not the tools.
- Six weeks of practice changes more than a one-day workshop.
- Some teams will not be ready for this. That is fine. We will tell you.
Tell us what your team is wrestling with.
The Companion subscription matters more after this Lab than after the others. The behaviours the Lab installs — better delegation to AI, sharper critical thinking, the resilience needed to keep going at the rollout's pace — are the kind of behaviours that erode without ongoing reinforcement. We will not pitch the Companion in the first call. The conversation we want first is whether this Lab is a fit for your rollout.
A 30-minute call with Philipp or Kirill. We bring two questions and one observation. No deck.
